Mirror Mirror… Everywhere.

22 Feb

There is something about a mirrored piece of furniture or accent piece that stops me in my tracks. The way it opens up a room and has the ability to highlight other design details in a space is unmatched. The reflective qualities add sparkle, shine, and depth to even the most masculine interiors.

Up Up and Away.

17 Feb

Happy Friday! Hope this finds you well on the way to fun adventures this weekend, or at least daydreams. I’m headed out on a secret weekend trip with some girlfriends, who knows where we will end up or what schemes will be unfold. Either way, surprise trips and fun friends are always a go in my book!

Warmer Weather on My Mind.

16 Feb

All this back-and-forth, confused weather has me dreaming of warmer places and brighter colors. I personally could go without cold weather months all together. Shorter hemlines, ice cream, and sunscreen are just a few of my summer loves. And the Maldives only make the sun and sand more appealing. Any takers?

Love | Bruner Wedding.

14 Feb

Happy Valentine’s Day! In honor of this day of love, I am sharing the wedding invitation that Jenna and I made for the Musgrave | Bruner wedding. The hand-written names add unique details and flourishes that type just cannot offer. The art of writing is one that I have always been drawn to (no, not intentional but I’m leaving that little nugget there for you) and long to perfect. Here is one place I was able to do that and am so pleased with the outcome!

Bridesmaid Dresses | The Meghan.

10 Feb

I’ve been hiding behind yards and yards of chocolate brown dupioni silk for the past two weeks sewing and fitting bridesmaids dresses for a dear friend’s wedding in April. The only request was that we wear brown dresses, so beyond that the choice was wide opened on our end. The Meghan dress is the first one on the scene, fully lined and sleeveless with a ruffle neckline. Here are some of the details:

Recap | January 23 – 28.

1 Feb

In order to catch you up on the happenings over the past week, I’ve put together a little picture recap.

Cookies. 5 dozen of them to be exact. I free-handed Leapfrog’s logo on made-from-scratch sugar cookies for the launch of Callie’s Charleston Biscuits new biscuit house.

Sparkling water and lime. My new favorite drink thanks to Lulie Wallace. She introduced the refreshing combination to me over lunch at Fish one brainstorming-filled afternoon.

Last Saturday night, I took in the beautiful Charlotte skyline from the 30th floor of a building downtown. It makes you realize how big things are and how small we are, but what an incredible opportunity we have to be a part of something much, much more. It was incredible.

My sweet friend Lauren repped the turquoise wooden bib necklace I sent her as a little birthday surprise in Memphis. She may be my single most influential marketer around. Thanks for allowing the salesperson at Kate Spade to fall in love with that bauble.
